Rockin' Robin Red Breast

This Robin arrived two weeks ago, and while he took a break in the tree I think he was wondering if he arrived too early. There were still big fluffy snowflakes on that day. No matter, his brilliant color and arrival make us happy too! Spring has sprung in the NEK.

Pretty Yellow Fellow

American Goldfinch
This little flying lemon arrived at the thistle feeder yesterday. What a wonderful sight! We are still looking at a few stubborn snowbanks, but the woods are alive with songs of the birds. Spring has arrived.

Grouse in a tree - Island Pond

A grouse in a tree. I never know what I'll see alongside the road here in Island Pond. This fella seemed to be putting on a show for a lady friend, he huffed and puffed up his feathers before flying to another tree. Or maybe I made him nervous?
